This item works very well. My curls are thick and long (3 inches below my shoulder) and once I put them in this thing they stay in place. I think it will work better for short hair that isn't as thick as mine. The elastic is very tight which keeps it in place, but it's also a bit tight. I prefer it stays in place and a little tight than loose and nowhere to be found in the morning.
