Review on Collinite 845 Insulator Wax Fluid_Ounces by Gucci Breeze

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's good as a liquid wax

I will classify this product as a liquid wax by comparing it to other common waxes, sealers etc to get an idea of its properties. Firstly, I received the wax well packaged, no loss of product. I live in the Caribbean so this wax is almost always in liquid form. Liquid application is very easy. I put a drop or two on a microfiber applicator, but I've used it with a sprayer before so it can be used as a spray wax. It applies just as easily as most other sprayable waxes and sealants (H2O Guard & Gloss, Seal N Shine, etc.). Because it's liquid, it's certainly easier to apply than most, if not all, paste waxes. The brilliance of this thing is simply at the highest level. It gives my car a really warm glow (hard to imagine I know) but it's the best way I can describe it. In my opinion, sealers like Jescar Power Lock Plus don't achieve the level of shine that this wax achieves. Again I use my eyes as a shine meter, that's all. Surprisingly, the wax's staying power is just fantastic. I've seen up to 4-5 months of protection (with properly prepared paintwork) and the lowest I've had was around 2 months, maybe a little less (no polish and bad weather). The shine tends to fade before the protection itself wears off like most other products do. The only real downside I think is the difficulty of removing it during the application process. If you apply too much wax (it's very easy - it helps a little), or if you apply it and leave it on for more than 5 minutes or so, you'll probably have a hard time removing it. I'll tear myself free, it's just that it takes a lot more effort to remove.
