Purchased to mount my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (8") to the dashboard of a 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The tablet is in a TuaTara case and the mount holds the case perfectly with little effort. It also fits without the case, but if everything falls off I'd rather protect the tablet. The vent cap leaves a lot to be desired. The vent hook doesn't go far enough into the vent to catch the main part of the vent (the thicker and stronger part), it works just far enough in to catch up with the next part, which is thinner and weaker. Add to this that the entire mount is just hanging from this little vent hook and no other part of the mount is secured in any way, it just flaps up and down when you hit a bump - something I do a lot when I'm off-road drive in your jeep. Because the mount is adjustable, the attachment point for mounting is at one end, so if you pull the mount out quite a bit, the attachment point is far from center - great if you're hanging your tablet in portrait mode, but not landscape. I think this mount/mount is trying to do too much and doesn't do anything well. At least not for me.
