I use this to edit my own projects (sometimes called 'raw' editing) as well making edits from recorded sources in other formats like MP3's etc., where there is no way of knowing what was originally used before recording it/the source itself can't be found or recovered- hence needing an editor that will do all these things! It does so very efficiently with great results - fast loading speeds too when doing complex tasks, sometimes even quicker than using Adobe Audition!! The interface isn;t always friendly but you get good training after some time working through tutorials online if your going into new areas such at waveform display which really helps out understanding how different effects apply visually.- also getting familiarised yourself wth layers once they're set up right makes life easier later down stream eg creating custom plugins by first mapping them then putting onto specific effect chains within soundforge instead having each plugin mapped separately afterwards! This saves me loads more work especially since i needn'; t.
