(Too true? See my simple solution) - Good value for money, but not as good as the previous version in some respects.

Quick summary: If you need a cheap but good headset with a mic for work or play you have a small problem but worth a try for $10-14 _____________________________Edit - easy fix if you to sit tight on your ears! one. Find a pan wide enough to fit the headband.2. Boil a pot of water and then let it cool for a minute or two.3. Submerge the average 4 or 5 inches of the headband (ONLY) in the water for about 15 seconds. Then remove them from the water and spread the ear pads apart about 6 inches until the plastic cools. You can also run them under cold water.4. Try them on and see if they fit. I got them right the first time, but you can always try tightening or loosening them.5. Optional - I warmed them up again and slightly angled the earbuds so they sit flatter on the ears. I did this and then wore them comfortably for an hour. If they are too tight for your head, try this solution! _______________________ Overview below: If you're familiar with the IM320 that replaced the IM282, you know what you're getting here. I've been using the IM320 kit for two years now and I'm still very happy with it, but I wanted to try this updated version. compared to IM320 (old version). Both have good audio quality to listen to, great for call center work and great for gaming. The quality of the IM320 microphone is exceptional, all it needs is a small foam cap on the stem to keep breath noise out. (I used a yellow dish sponge and it was great) The IM282's microphone also seems good, but not as good. The manufacturer's specs are the same, but I don't know if they actually use the same mic. Cons IM282: The headband is too small or too stiff. I have a medium sized head and after quite a short time they become painfully tight. If the manufacturer had used a slightly softer plastic or otherwise reduced the pressure, they would have been comfortable for extended use. I plan to dip part of the headband in a pot of hot but not boiling water to try and reduce the crease a bit and if that works or messes them up I'll update that. (This worked great, see instructions above) The mic is pretty good, the only real downside is that the mic boom is rigid unlike the flex pole in the previous version. You can rotate it up and down, but that's about it. If it's positioned right for you, great, if not, bad luck. However, it should be fine for most people. The microphone in the previous version received many compliments on the sound quality from audio production professionals I spoke to. You will be amazed by the quality for the price. I think the new version is about the same, but I don't have any feedback from others yet. Absolutely suitable for call centers or gaming. The ear pads are pretty solid, but I think they would be more comfortable if I could adjust the band pressure. They do a good job of reducing background noise, but I think that's the only "noise cancellation" they have. Pros: The cable is longer and nicer than the previous version, with a braided finish.

Pros
  • It is easy to use - plug and play and compatible with laptop, PC and computer via USB.
Cons
  • So far so good
