I ordered this collar as I have strong feelings against shock collars but wanted a GOOD QUALITY correction collar with beep and vibrate function for long range adjustment. We keep corgis and chickens and work to ensure the dogs don't bark and run behind the fence as we live with one of the dog packs from time to time. I don't blame the driven breed dogs, but I do know the behavior can be treated. Difficult to give the constantly needed quick transfer as a mother of two young children has to run to the back of our property. Collars are not visually appealing, but what actually is a correction collar? I charged it and tested it on my two very active herding dogs. One responds fairly well to just a beep. If you tag the horn with a treat before using it to curb the behavior, it is enough to redirect the behavior because she will run to me for her treat instead of terrorizing the chicks. If I see her about to attack, I'll signal her back. My other corgis don't respond well to the beep, but the average vibration pushes him away from the fence. It still requires attention and diligence, but I'm grateful that I don't have to assign homework to keep dogs calm and can just grab the remote control and stop the behavior WITHOUT causing pain. My only request is to have this particular collar without the shock option. I have young children (only 3 years old) and am worried about them getting remote controls and electrocuting dogs improperly.
