I'm always looking for a speaker with great full range sound at an affordable price. Years ago I spent about $300 on a Jawbone Big Jambox. For a party/home speaker, this really worked. However, over the years it has worn down a bit and battery life is diminishing. For a number of years I have been looking for a reasonably priced, durable full-range speaker that I can listen to all types of music on. . from classic, hip-hop to rock. I've tried many of the budget speakers here at Revain and they all fail - weak bass without punch, flat mids and highs. but I finally found a replacement for Big Jambox in this column. To be precise, this is a review of the Altex IWM790L LifeJacket XL Jolt with light effects. Mind you, I just unpacked and played with it all day. but damn I'm very happy. Spotify's default flat equalizer settings sound good. But when I slam the bass on the EQ, it sounds a lot fuller. and when I lean it against the wall it resonates really nicely. So if you're a bass lover and want crazy beats, this speaker can help you, especially when you're hitting the low end of the EQ. The wireless charging feature (put your phone down to charge) is great, but that's not why I bought it. That. Also, wireless charging works even with Otterbox Defender case on iPhone 10 Max but not on my iPhone 11 Max with Otterbox Defender. No wonder, since the case is as thick as a bank vault door. I like that you can charge while using the speaker. You could do something like that with the Big Jambox. It is important that the thing is constantly charging! As for durability - I haven't torture tested it yet but based on all the youtube videos I trust if I'm in a flood or throw it in a mud puddle you'll be fine. I listened to a few tracks that I know very well. from classical to hard rock and it's really impressive. You will not be disappointed.
