After 4 years of use, I'm replacing them because music sounds flat and muffled (though not very loud), minimal bass, and the music is very directional. You get most of the sound right in front of the speakers and much less elsewhere in the yard. I replaced them with Bose 151 SE speakers. Placed directly in front of the speakers, the Bose sound quality is much brighter, more lively and pleasant to listen to. The Polk Atrium could be a little cleaner, but the sound is boring. Polk Atrium 4 and Bose 151 SE are similar in size. The Bose speakers feature 3 2 1/2" full-range drivers that are angled to spread the music versus the Polk Atrium 4 4 1/2" woofer and 3/4" tweeter. The Polk woofer and tweeter combo should be better, but the speaker frequency response seems to be the same for both speakers. The Bose 151 SE has a front port, which might explain how they have bass. I don't know what the weather resistance looks like, since the Bose 151 SE hasn't survived the winter yet. I had no problems with the Pol Atrium 4. At home in the evening, they survived 4 rainy winters. The speakers are powered by the Sonos Connect amplifier. Polk Atrium 4 are great speakers. They seem well put together. They are easy to install. They are not very expensive. I recommend them if you are looking for small inexpensive speakers for the garden. However, I was not satisfied with the directivity of the sound and the flat sound quality.
