Review on Dakine Unisex Essentials Backpack Begonia by Tracy Clark

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Brilliant. Dakin delivers! But "male "?

An excellent backpack for everyday and work (books, laptop) as well as for hiking and walking outdoors. For work essentials, I really appreciate the side zip - it's a lot easier to see and find things. Aside from the padded computer compartment, there are only 2 pockets, one on the side and one zipped inside, but I like not having to rummage through half a dozen pockets trying to figure out where to put something. Also, which is a bit strange at first glance, the inner pocket is not on the side of the back, but on the front. This seemed odd until I realized it's a lot easier to get things without completely removing the backpack. It's a nice, durable material and the upper has a drawstring closure and a well-fitting "raincoat" that slips over it. And instead of being fastened with standard plastic shoulder strap buckles, it has magnetic snaps that close and release very quickly and are reasonably secure. The inside is light lime green which also makes the inside easy to see (as opposed to regular black). Love it. I don't know why they call it a "men" backpack. Pfff.
