Review on Earth Friendly Disney Laundry Detergent by Chris Cranor

I bought this detergent because it's made for kids and the Environmental Working Group gave it a 3 - still not the best but it was the best of the "Children". laundry detergent and I'm allergic to Dr. Brommrrs. I've also found that the greener the cleaner, the worse it works. And we buy Ecos from Costco regularly and we love them. Yes, the ingredients in Baby Ecos are different. I've tried this baby cleaner on my own clothes and it cleans them pretty well. Maybe not as clean as Tide, but in return I forgo those nasty chemicals and can just run the washing machine on a dirtier cycle to compensate. It also doesn't leave a scent which I like because I don't want those added perfume chemicals on my baby. No, it smells bad - it just doesn't smell. I haven't had an allergic reaction to it and there have been no complaints from DH. Not a baby yet but my testing led me to try this on their items (I test all baby products on myself first). My only complaint is that I can't find it locally (Amazon to the rescue again!) and I don't like it, I'm pretty sure I'm paying too much just to have Winnie the Pooh on the bottle. UPDATE: after a lot of testing I found the following: I have to put a little more detergent in the laundry than the instructions say (I have an HE washing machine and therefore with a "normal" load I put the first line just above that, with a large load I add a slightly taller second line). In addition, it makes sense to work Baby Oxyclean into the laundry (good EWG ratings). I wash in a long cycle "very dirty". I then do an "extra rinse" so the baby has less contact with products. This will get the clothes just as clean as my regular eco. I will continue to buy this product. However, since it's difficult to find an eco-friendly cleaner that actually works, I love this one. In comparison, we use normal Eco for our clothes and do not need to add any additives. or walk for a long time.
