I bought a medium sized harness for my 4 year old French/English Bulldog. He weighs about 35 pounds. I have two cars that are too big for him to jump in. The handle helps give him a nudge. I use it for transportation and when we go hiking. He loves wearing it. The pockets allow me to carry some water, dog food, and a collapsible water bowl, and there's room if I want to put his leash and my phone in. I wouldn't recommend using it when it's hot outside. It stores body heat. He has mesh padding on the inside, but it covers most of his body. He has a barrel chest. It's just the right size for him. The straps seem comfortable and he likes to put them on. He also knows that he will ride! It is very easy to put on when the dog is ready 😉. It would be nice for a working dog to have medical supplies for humans or handlers. My dog doesn't seem burdened by what he's wearing. So far we have hiked over 5 miles in cool/warm weather.
