Appears like high quality leather over 1/16 inch thick, strong and sturdy but flexible. It's not stiff enough to protect against high impact. Breaking power, but it's a lot more protection than a case. It looks well put together and durable. The magnetic closure works well and doesn't open any easier than it should. The finish on mine is nice and even although there are a few small dark spots. they fit easily enough. My bulkiest glasses fit well. Brass Tacks is a new brand from China.
