Thread cards are fine but POS take-up reel
After receiving this I tried winding my DMC thread onto one of the spools that came with the take-up reel. The winder creaked incessantly and did not hold tension, creating a lumpy and dirty wind. After a good 15-20 minutes trying to get it to work and when the thread was gathered in one spot instead of spread out across the spool I gave up and hand wound it. The spools are of good quality although they don't take felt tip pens/permanent markers very well. I would recommend using the stickers you can get to mark the spools of thread for them.
