These days of COVID-19 have brought exciting new challenges and new ways of doing things. My kids both had virtual training sessions in their respective sports. The hardest part was setting up the iPad for basketball practice in my son's backyard where his basket is. Also, it had a mini iPad that I wanted to mount horizontally. If you research enough, many of the brackets you'll find here can't support holding the mini iPad horizontally because the bracket doesn't support smaller widths. Most of them support large iPad in landscape mode, but only mini iPad in portrait mode. I was also careful with a bracket, which was made of plastic. I wanted a strong mount that would hold the iPad, especially if I planned to use it outdoors. This aluminum mount seemed perfect, but it's REALLY expensive. I am pleased to say that this item is well designed and constructed! Everything about it is excellent, from how the slide mechanism works to the locking technique. It feels durable and high quality. It fits any standard tripod thread screw. And once you had your iPad firmly in place, it was securely in place. So in terms of functionality, I like it very much. And considering the stay-at-home situation, I've benefited tremendously from using it literally every day with kids. Very easy to set up. Set it up and forget about it 5-10 minutes before class. It's expensive so what do I use it for. But I was in a hurry and there weren't many other options. But for me, I also saw it as something that would allow my kids to take care of themselves without them getting in your hair while you're trying to work. This alone is PRICELESS for me and my wife as we often have conference calls.
