I just had a road bike accident and these glasses saved me. I slid face down on the freeway and these goggles withstood the bumps and squeak of the pavement. If I had only worn sunglasses, I would have lost my right eye or suffered serious damage. You saved my face a lot. Unless you're cycling or backflipping, I'm sure they'll be more than adequate for off-road use. For most spills I can say they offer excellent protection. Also amazing clarity even when driving at night, which I don't recommend ;)
