This dress is as beautiful in real life as it is in the picture. The green is soft and has a satin like feeling, while the pattern is slightly textured like a velour. There are a few things you should be aware of. 1) There is no liner to this dress and it is thin. 2) In order to get the skirt to have the look as the picture you must wear a petticoat underneath. 3) There is a fold in the flap that goes around the chest/shoulders/back. If it isn't laying right or is rolling then use a hand steamer or have it dry cleaned. I am currently in between a small and a medium and the medium feels a little tight around the ribs. There is just a bit of spandex in it so it does stretch, and to be fair I do have a large rib cage for my size. It's almost the perfect dress and for the price, you can't beat it. Just remember, women in the 1950's understood the importance of a good foundation. Don't be afraid to break out the shape-wear and petticoat and you'll look amazing!
