I actually bought this for my pet rats. I figured FDA approval was the safest choice as they would chew on it and I'm happy! The paper looks sharp, but it's not, and I can cut as much of it as I want at any time. This prevents the accumulation of paper dust. I wish the packaging said it was FDA cleared or something to be honest other than the plastic it was covered in and a little sticker, there wasn't anything else on the roll.
