I bought this cleaner mainly for carpet cleaning but I'm disappointed from day one and the seller couldn't help. According to the instructions, I need to put a carpet grinder and a towel. But I feel like the towel is blocking most of the steam as the steam going through the towel becomes very weak. It is not enough to do any cleaning work, the carpet will hardly be damp and warm after a maximum of 10 minutes of steaming. This cleaner may be able to clean other hard surfaces that I haven't tried, but definitely not for carpets.
