Review on ASTRO Gaming A40 TR Wired Headset with Astro Audio V2: Xbox Series X, S, One, PC & Mac by Dean Love

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Even better than the 2017 a40 tr

I love the A40. The 2017 model felt a little big, but the controls held up great, so no problem. They are even more durable and fit perfectly. The only issue I had was that for some reason the built in mute cable doesn't include a volume control like the previous generation I had. Before you try the new generation A50 4, the surround sound function produces a good echo or metallic echo of your voice. . If you try the regular sound mode, the sound is the same as the A40, except for the extra $150! The 2019 A40 also comes with a 2-year Dolby Digital activation code. I'm not sure I can tell the difference because it still sounds very good without it. In a way the speaker volume sounds "fuller" if you will, I guess it goes without saying as it's supposed to be surround sound when Dolby Digital is enabled in the Xbox settings. 4 stars out of 5 overall, if this is made possible by the volume control on the built in cable it would be perfect. Too bad this is not included. Edit: So after going back to town and using them more, the top band cushion may be a bit wider than front to back. Most of the time it's not noticeable, some days my scalp is more sensitive than others and when it is I feel like the pillow is tight and feels like a strip on my head. However, 4 out of 5 stars because a simple optimization fixes the problem.
