Don't listen to negative reviews! This is a solid headset!

This headset is a benchmark! The sound is clear, high and low frequencies are well balanced. It also has great comfort for prolonged use. Customization at the highest level: You can replace the headphones with new ones if necessary. You can also switch the microphone to the left or right side, and you can switch the headband and notches on the earcups to customize the headset to your liking! This headset is BUILT TO LAST. So if for some reason you break the mic, damage the headphones, or cut…

Expensive but works great

I've had a pair of a40 headphones for a few years now (my first pair died after about 2 years of heavy use and the mic just stopped working). This will be my second pair. They are great for Call of Duty games because of the surround sound and audio clarity. I would recommend them if the $100+ price tag doesn't put you off. As a side note, when I first bought them, I bought them along with Mixamp, which I don't think is necessary at all. In fact, I could never figure out what the point of a…

Total Disappointment

Guys, why did you put the mute switch on the "microphone controller" cable instead of the volume control? I didn't know about it and to change the volume I have to open the damn settings and adjust the chat and game volume in the Xbox itself. I understand they want us to be at the mic amp. Another annoying thing is that they put the headphone jack on the same side as the microphone, on the back of my left ear, and the cable keeps rubbing against my neck. That's just unacceptable for a $150…

It's been buggy since I got it.

When everything worked, one of the best sounding headsets around. I just received them a few days ago. The headsets kept disconnecting during the call, which was annoying as it happened frequently. There is a mute button on the mic, but I didn't touch it. To "turn me on" I had to unplug and plug both ends of the cable multiple times before it worked again. If you're one of those people who move their controller a lot, I don't recommend them. On the second day I noticed that the sound is cut off

Pros
  • Finished conversion kit. Includes noise-cancelling leatherette ear pads, voice-isolating microphone, padded headband, and covered speaker tags. (sold separately)
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

I haven't used the detachable mic very much as I mainly play PC games where I have a separate mic. But while playing on Xbox, the mic kept falling off and had to be constantly adjusted. I can't comment on the sound quality, but I haven't had any complaints from friends. The ear cups rotate like crazy and the head size adjusters have loosened to the point where zip ties were needed to stay tight enough. In addition, the headband pad is very narrow, it falls off my head when I lean back in a…

Even better than the 2017 a40 tr

I love the A40. The 2017 model felt a little big, but the controls held up great, so no problem. They are even more durable and fit perfectly. The only issue I had was that for some reason the built in mute cable doesn't include a volume control like the previous generation I had. Before you try the new generation A50 4, the surround sound function produces a good echo or metallic echo of your voice. . If you try the regular sound mode, the sound is the same as the A40, except for the extra…

Good but not for $149

I hear a lot of comments on the internet about this as "What the pros use". I seriously doubt it. What esports teams are using are very flat sounding headsets with boosted highs and NO bass for precise positioning and footstep detection. Google a photo of the inside of the race car. Now look at the inside of your car. Do you want to walk through Starbucks or pick up the kids in a race car with 50 buttons on the steering wheel and a roll cage? No, but that's what the "professionals" use. I mean,
