Review on ASTRO Gaming A40 TR Wired Headset with Astro Audio V2: Xbox Series X, S, One, PC & Mac by Anthony Mayes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good sound quality, amazing settings (extra charge) but it's a mess in the head.

I haven't used the detachable mic very much as I mainly play PC games where I have a separate mic. But while playing on Xbox, the mic kept falling off and had to be constantly adjusted. I can't comment on the sound quality, but I haven't had any complaints from friends. The ear cups rotate like crazy and the head size adjusters have loosened to the point where zip ties were needed to stay tight enough. In addition, the headband pad is very narrow, it falls off my head when I lean back in a chair. However, the headset is quite comfortable when left in place. Without pressure and heat. The pads are quite soft. I really wanted to like this headset as it sounds good and I really like the modular customization. Can I have a waifu for each earbud? Great. It also has that high quality mixer amp, but I've decided to save it for later (never, it turns out). I've heard in reviews that this brand is known for its impeccable build quality, but apparently that's not the case. consistent. Final word from me is buy at your own risk; My device may have had an unusual defect or something. My friend has a slightly older model and he likes it a lot, so maybe take a closer look?
