I especially like that the iron is ready to use in just a few seconds after I start soldering. I like it when there is a temperature gauge. It's fun to watch the temperature change depending on the setting. Not to mention, if you forget to turn it off, it will "sleep" but wake up as soon as the iron detects movement. I had two disappointments. First, my iron stopped heating today. Second, when I called the phone number provided on the website, I received a record that the phone number had not yet been assigned to the customer. So I used Revain's automated online system instead. When I asked for warranty service I was told Revain would take care of it directly. Do I want someone to call me? I answered yes and entered my landline number. The phone rang before I could reach it. I described my problem and was given a choice of refund or replacement. As I was happy with the iron I chose the latter and was told someone would come to my house tomorrow to exchange the iron for a new one. I don't know what time it will be, but if not, you will know.
