A step above most welding Helments,.

Good quality, real purdy (outstanding paint job). Easy to spot in my shop, and rear knob, large and easy to adjust. Up stops and down limits, very nice. Large viewing area, and test button all well thought out. Instruction sheet piss pore, but with a little fumbling, we worked it out. The reality of not being completely assembled, ready to go, not understood, as there was plenty of room in box to fully package, but that is so miner that its hardly worth mentioning.

Pros
  • Sleek and modern design ensures a professional appearance
Cons
  • Poor ventilation

Does everything I need it to, and makes learning to weld Easy!

I do not have any experience with any other welding helmets, but this helmet does everything I would like it to do. I really like that you can adjust the shade, response, and delay. It is much easier to use than the perminatly dark helmets. I'm sure the $300 helmets are better, but this does exactly what I need. It is also really nice that it comes with a carrying bag, so it is easy to take to and from my welding class. I would (and have) highly recommend this helmet. The ONLY thing that I have…

Pros
  • Improves overall welding safety and comfort
Cons
  • Flimsy chin strap

Good product. Works well.

I am very pleased with this welding mask. I suspect it would not be great for long-term professional use as it is fairly lightweight. But even for moderate use it is sturdy enough. Works very well and I am very pleased with this mass.

Pros
  • Offers an unobstructed field of view with a wide lens design
Cons
  • Difficult to replace the battery

Great welding hood for a fair price

I was concerned about the claims being made by this welding hood when I first looked at it for the price of $75-$80 range. I wanted something that would protect my eyes without breaking the bank. I wanted all the features this helmet claimed to have with the price tag it had as well.Fit and finish - feels solid but pliable. Good for if/when I drop the helmet on the concrete floor. Make sure to take off the green tinted inside and outside film off of the lens when you get it, this requires you…

Pros
  • Safety & Security
Cons
  • Subpar user manual

I mean, there's a reason I'm not a rocket scientist but I'm not exactly a dummy and it took me a half-hour to figure out how to mount the headgear. Even went on youtube to find a assembly video (which they didnt have for my model BTW).The included user manual is less than useless, doesnt even tell you how to remove the battery or even how to dismount the dimming panel - though that part wasnt all that complicated. Also, the dimming didnt work until I removed the battery and then reinserted it…

Pros
  • Beautiful product light weight but need better instructions on assembly and gadgets
Cons
  • Difficulty adjusting the shade

Very good! best in my review

Got sick of ruining my nice helmets at work, this helmet does everything I need. Sometimes flickers when running low amps even with the sensitivity all the way up, but it’s a fine helmet

Pros
  • Offers a comfortable fit with adjustable headgear and padded interior
Cons
  • Inferior sensor placement

Helmet is Responsive and Works Well

The helmet works well and is similar quality to more expensive helmets. I had also contacted the seller with a questions and received a quick response. The only note I will mention is that I could not perform a "sun test" on this helmet to verify functionality before welding. The helmet would auto-darken and then un-darken after the pre-set wait time while still exposed to direct sunlight. You shouldn't be using this to observe the sun anyway. There are other standards for sun observing…

Pros
  • Love this helmet . wears great , light weight , and i can see to weld again .
Cons
  • Heavy and uncomfortable to wear

my boy loved it for his collage classes plz read the instruction before u use it for the setting so they dont injury there eyes

Pros
  • Auto-darkening feature ensures a comfortable and safe welding experience
Cons
  • Not versatile enough

Great product for the money.

I was a little uncertain about the product at first because of how flimsy the head gear was . But I did use it for 7 hours day after I received the helmet. Was comfortable all day and worked as it should . Really like the large viewing area . I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it for someone that is looking for an inexpensive good functioning helmet .

Pros
  • Reliability
Cons
  • Battery life is short

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Buy the next step up

Biggest down fall to this helmet is the headband is too flimsy and you have to keep tightening the thumbs screws on the helmet. The controls are too touchy and the battery was half dead when I received the helmet. The next model up in this brand has better electronics even the head band is improved.

Pros
  • Eliminates the need for external power sources
Cons
  • May cause neck strain

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Works but that's about it.

Very cheaply made. It comes in piece's.Almost no instructions. I was about ready to send it back when I discovered that I had to take the guts out of it and remove the protector from all of the lenses. The viewing lens is scratched but its usable. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Pros
  • Fits snugly and comfortably for minimal head movement during welding
Cons
  • Uncomfortable headgear

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good hood, bad headgear

The hood itself is pretty good, clarity is decent and the auto darkening works well. Unfortunately, the headgear is terrible for my large head. It feels like there's a vise on my head because there is no padding on the sides of the headband where the pivots are located and nearly all of the tension you apply goes towards digging the sides into your head. The knobs on the pivots also keep loosening themselves so no matter how much I tighten them the hood ends up falling on my face after moving…

Pros
  • If this helmet continues to work as good as it does it will be one of the best buys I ever made.
Cons
  • Limited adjustability

Good People To Buy From

I BOUGHT THIS 6 Months ago USED TO WORK GOOD BUT I WOULD NOT Any More ! I contacted Seller and They Are Sending me a Replacement Auto Darkening Lens !Thanks VERY MUCH !I WOULD RECOMMEND PURCHASE ! They Stand BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL !

Pros
  • Offers excellent protection from facial burns and damage
Cons
  • Inability to connect to external power sources

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad, works as it should.

The head band is a little cheap, and the front filter protector is an odd size, but they do send 3 extra clear protectors with it. Do wish they would sell the correct size replacement clear lenses, as the common one for higher end helmets is just a little small. The adjustable filter shade works as it should, and the shade seems to be correct for what you set on the dial. The head band feels like it is made of a cheaper plastic, but it has the same mountings as normal replacement head bands.

Pros
  • ‎DKB-Red
Cons
  • Unattractive design

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice helmet on my review.

OK, first off. I am NOT a welder. This helmet is NOT a professionals' welding helmet. It also does not come with the professionals price tag. I purchased this helmet as an upgrade to the one that came with my little Lincoln wire feed welder. It is a very nice upgrade. The bad: The material of the helmet is a little thin and flexes quite a bit, though I'm not certain this is a bad thing. Then setting up the helmet, there's lots of pieces that have to be lined up on the two pivot bolts and need to

Pros
  • Provides excellent protection from spatter and debris
Cons
  • Difficult to adjust the fit

could be one of your favorite hoods

haven’t used it yet. Bought it for the large view Lens and I liked the color. Name brand prices are getting ridiculous and heavy. I bought a brand name for $275 I think. It only lasted about 2 months, I thought it was the battery but it wasn’t, it just didn’t work. My point is just because it’s a brand name doesn’t mean it’s better

Pros
  • ‎12.71 x 9.41 x 7.72 inches
Cons
  • Not compatible with a respirator

Purchase it Now! good for me

This helmet is amazing and works really well! Great quality at an affordable price! I will definitely purchased again.

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • Easily scratched lens

Revainrating 4 out of 5

works great best in my review

Only issue is that shutting it off or turning it on is a bit of a pain, otherwise it's a really good functioning hood for a great price

Pros
  • Helps reduce overall welding time and errors
Cons
  • No grinding mode

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For the hobbyist, great helmet at a great price

First thing: I'm far from a professional welder. Well, considering I've never been paid for a welding job, that pretty much guarantees I'm not a professional welder, but I like to pretend I am.I've got a small 140 amp Lincoln MIG welder that I mess around with in the garage and lately the auto darkening helmet I purchased from Harbor Freight years ago had started to go on the fritz. It would darken way more than it should to the point of where I could hardly see anything and messing with the…

Pros
  • i like it just fine
Cons
  • Inconsistent auto-darkening

Updated to 5 stars.

**UPDATE** After the intial review the seller reached out to me and provided another sheild and a partial credit for my troubles. I have yet to put the new shield in as I have finished my welding project, as for the seller, they stepped up and provided me with great customer service. I have since changed my 1 star rating to a 5 star based on the service I have received. Well apparently these helmets are junk. I don't know about everyone else but $75 is a pretty good chunk of change and I don't…

Pros
  • Highly versatile and easy to use
Cons
  • Not compatible with prescription glasses
