Review on 🦶 Targeted Relief for Foot and Ankle Pain: Adjustable Foot Compression Sock with Elasticated Wrap by Tony Wylie

Disappointing. Best in Brackets, Splints and Supports

My worst pain in my feet is in the area between the arch and the heel and I thought this set would give me a way to address that area with additional to achieve compression. Unfortunately that doesn't work for me. First, the sock itself has no shape. This is a 3.75 inch diameter straight tube when flat. It's too loose to provide good arch compression and too tight above the ankle - just the opposite of what I want. There is a section of tube with less elasticity for the heel, but this limits the ability to move it up or down for a more comfortable fit and negates any benefits of a straight tube. I tried putting it on differently but ended up with a sock that was an inch below my toes. A sock shape would be much better. The belt suffers from similar problems. The sewn loop (4.25 inches folded) is a bit big for my arch and doesn't provide enough compression. If I try to compensate with a wrap, I can feel the loop gradually twisting and loosening as I wear it. The strap is also quite thick, and the loop stitching means there's going to be a lump somewhere, which can be an issue with regular fit shoes. The Velcro straps on the strap are 2 inches wide and spaced 6 inches apart. I had a hard time finding a way to position the strap so that the Velcro wasn't too tight, too loose, or too bulky for the shoe. If it fits your foot and ankle, it might work well. In hindsight, a simple premium bandage over a properly shaped compression stocking might not look as pretty to me, but it probably works better and is a lot easier to put on comfortably.
