I've had facial hair for over 50 years, but my hair is thick, straight and curly so I always have to trim it close to my lips and under my nose. I don't have much experience with mustache wax, this is only the second one I've tried. A few years ago I tried Clubman and although I didn't know how to use it I was able to grow a mustache and curl my hair with it. But it's water soluble, so it usually didn't last all day. In the end I decided to try a different type of wax. I bought Mountaineer Extra Firm Hold and think I've learned a lot more about using mustache wax. After a few weeks of using this product, I'm willing to say that it does NOT feel like an "extra hard hold" in ANY WAY, but it does a pretty good job of keeping my long hair tangled above my upper lip and out of the way. my mouth. Where he fails miserably is trying to twist his hair into a steering wheel; I can only see a faint hint of a point that is rapidly dissipating. While I can't compare it to other beeswax products, I can safely say that if it really is "extra firm hold", a little less will do absolutely NOTHING to my mustache. It is really odorless as advertised. Once applied, mustache stays waxy and sticky all day - it never dries out like a Clubman product. And because it doesn't dissolve in water, it doesn't wash off that easily, but by the end of the day most of the hold is gone anyway. I'm not sure what to try next, but this doesn't seem like the right product for me. I have a lot to learn.
