Review on Premium Swiss Leather Turntable Mat - Sandstone - Platter Mat Made In USA by Patrick Burns

This is a turntable mat - sounds good on my rega p2. about as thick as the available felt mat, maybe a little thicker. The mat arrived quickly in beautiful packaging. When I opened it, the rug had a fairly subtle crease along the edge. Place a 30lb stack of books on top and leave overnight. The next morning the crease was just as noticeable. I put the towel on the mat and left the iron on it for 20 seconds. repeated this several times and the crease disappeared. I was nervous that he couldn't sit up straight with a big wrinkle so I knew I should try to get rid of him. I ended up doing it, but for a $30 rug made in the USA, I feel it should have been a little higher quality. The mat is not perfectly round and/or the spindle bore seems slightly off center and the edges are rough. I'm pretty anal about stuff like this but I try not to let that bother me and it's not so bad that I want to bother sending it back and maybe get one in worse condition. this was my first experience with hudson hifi and i was thrilled to see the new musa appear on the scene. But I think they need to lower their quality control before I can trust them 100%. Hudson: If you're reading this, you have a lot of potential, but you need to clean up a bit.
