Product works great but gets very dirty. He studies the map and divides your floor into "rooms" even though you can't customize the rooms, so he made my hallway and bedroom one room. You can vacuum and mop by "zones", but you can only set up one zone at a time, so there's no point in bypassing carpets if you want to mop. And this is where I got confused. This thing actually "knows" when it's on carpet (if you're starting on a hard floor) and changes the suction rate accordingly. But in MOP mode, that means it should be able to avoid carpets entirely, but it doesn't. Of course, the instructions state that you must not wash the carpets! who knew
