Very nice shop / lamp with two simple fixes.

The adjustable brightness of this device is perhaps its best feature. Magnification is good too, depending on the task at hand, just don't expect to be able to do microbial work with it. The glass is big enough that you don't have to get very close to see everything or cover one eye. As an LED backlight, it is bright enough and does not heat up when touched. The range is pretty decent and it can be easily adjusted to almost any angle. There are two things I didn't like, but they are very easy to fix. First replace the damn button next to the base of the lamp. This is the smallest knob on the entire lamp, so it's difficult to turn and get a firm grip if you don't want the lamp to wobble. While you're at it, simply replace the screw that's also attached to the handle. This is a regular flat bottom machine screw. I replaced mine with a half inch to quarter 20 set screw (conical tip screws) and a large triangular handle left over from coming down from the telescope. You can also use any large pin with a regular quarter 20 screw and just file the tip down to a fine point. Second, the base is just an aluminum tube, so it's hollow and not very rigid. This causes the lamp base to bend easily if too much force is applied to the head during movement AND it doesn't give the set screw a good gripping surface. My solution was to take a 2" solid 1/4" aluminum rod and insert it into this hollow section. It held up well after a bit of sanding and a bit of epoxy to keep it in place. This increased its rigidity and also gave it a hard surface for a set screw to cut into.
