Works well but inefficiently.
Great little filter, I use the smallest size on my beta tank. It stays clean, but the filter gets overloaded very quickly if it's running all the time. Filters are fairly disposable and you should be ready to swap them out right away. Pretty good filter considering how cheap they are (compared to others).
- Activated carbon is ideal for filtering freshwater aquariums. Has the ability to remove odors; and discoloration of the water by trapping impurities in the pores of the carbon.
