Edit after almost 2 years. ALL HARDWARE IS SUPPORTED! Zippers, as you call them, are perfectly normal. It's a "Daily Driver" and I'm packing it pretty well. My only complaint is that it doesn't "stand on its own", the upper is flexible so I'm switching to a traditional backpack now. Also, the straps never stayed where I put them on due to the strap's silky material. Although I'm really impressed with the quality. UTO, you did me good! It fits in my 20oz HydroFlask and my 26oz Blender bottle in the side pockets! booya! I always lock my "big wallet" (this one) in the car and just go shopping with my wallet (which fits nicely in the front flap), so having 7 pounds of stuff isn't too much of a problem for me: all my device cords, hot tea and water (mentioned above), plus a flashlight, paperback, sphere of arnica, leatherworking; bulky things. In the small upper outside pocket I have lip gloss, pen, tweezers. In the inner pockets you can store a handkerchief, medicines, napkins; girl stuff. A few empty pockets won't close, you might like them, they don't bother me, I just ignore them. I live at work while I work, so I travel literally every two weeks; This pack keeps everything I need handy between two locations so I don't go in circles! At first I thought it was too big, it's too big for the "purse" (in my opinion) but. Winter is coming! I can fit a light hoodie or medium vest in this large mama. I could probably squeeze them both in if I really had to: oh yeah! This comes in handy if you distribute the weight correctly; heavy items in the bottom/main pocket, no matter how small. (Physics damn it!) I'm 5ft 2in, 120lbs and the bag sits comfortably on my shoulders and back. It probably looks like a school backpack to me, but that's okay. I'm just glad the hunt is over. It's been 3 weeks and still seems upscale. *Originally I wanted purple but other comments say the strap colors don't match the body so I went with blue. Everything fits perfectly. Since my winter jacket is black, I thought a contrast would be nice. I've never had a blue purse! I really like them a lot! It's a rich, deep color that's pleasing to the eye but unlike anything else I've seen (I wouldn't call it a true dark blue). but that's the closest term for it.) Dark color but it doesn't blend well with the shadows! Well! I don't want my bag/life to be lost! This is the winner. The shoulder strap is weird, I don't use it, I'm 100% a backpack girl, but it doesn't seem to get in the way so I left it. And if I ever need a belt/belt/leash, I have one ready. I hang it up every day. oh, and though it's heavy, it seems to be holding me up just fine!
