I tested the built in thermometer on my new Leehoo kettle out of the box for accuracy and they both read within 2 degrees of each other when the water is brought to a boil. Doesn't include AAA batteries, but at about half the price of other budget kitchen thermometers, you can't expect all the different meat temperatures to be programmed into the software. But it includes a swivel clip, which many budget alternatives don't have; handy for frying. The probe is a bit tricky to lengthen, but this makes it easier to insert into the meat. However, I'm a bit worried that it might eventually break at the plastic hinge as it takes more force to stretch than I expected. But don't worry for the price.
