but just doesn't work.I've tried 2 types of bottled water (both of which come out clear in other ice molds) as well as filtered water.These molds just don't seal tight enough to give a clean skull - there is always extra ice. Plus the cubes don't come out clear even with the bottled water.Still fun and I'll still use them, but just wished the cubes came out better.

Ok, I bought these as a gift for a buddy of mine. Big whiskey drinker. Anyway- he sent me a couple pictures of the finished product, and the details are pretty spot on, and he said the ice lasted a LOT longer than normal cubes. The only thing we had trouble with was figuring out how much water to put into the molds, and then how to get them sitting level to freeze. I love these ice cube trays they are so detailed and i have never lost the detail with this tray they come out perfect every time. Because of the detail and shape they can be a little hard to pop out of the molds but it has only become easier with more uses. I am just elated with this purchase and for the price it was totally worth it. they are just right size too that they last a good amount of time in my drink about as long as a large ice cube.

The ice cube tray is easy (as can be expected for this type of ice cube) to fill and clean. You use a little funnel (they provide two) to fill the skulls - I found it helpful to press a little on the top/bottom portions of trays to keep top from rising (avoiding overfilling). Note that you can place the funnel into any of the four skulls and fill the tray - they are connected. By the second batch of cubes, I was making perfect skulls. I purchased this and the product arrived with the faces of the skull sliced open, so they can't retain water. Overall the product looked like a great idea. I'm returning it for a refund as a replacement will not arrive in time. I've used silicon trays in the past and love them.

These are super easy to use and allow me to have iced water, soda, tea, and coffee at work. They're easy to remove the ice, and easy to fill. Four skeletons are perfect per serving and they don't take up much room in the office freezer.

Cool little trays, but they are easier to fill when I just use the skull side. Freezes faster and you can get more cubes quicker. I have a mix of full and half skulls in my cube container

I have only used these for ice, but I imagine the issues would be the same regardless of what you are putting in them.Bottom line, the halves do not seal properly and the sides, ie: rim that holds the top and bottom together, is too flexible. If you are diligent when filling you might get 2 (almost) complete molds, the other 4 will be 60-75% complete. Deal breaker.not necessarily, but def not what you are hoping for.

This is a fun little kitchen trinket. The only word of warning is if you use the mold to freeze flavored liquids, the mold will absorb the flavoring. I used it to freeze Mio flavored water and it still smells like the Mio after multiple washes and freezes with plain water.

Either the description was misleading or I read it incorrectly. I thought this was a set of round spheres and skull spheres so you can make either. It is two skull molds. There are two round ones but they both have a hole in them so you cannot fill them. You can only use the skull ones with the round ones.

Made these clear, then made them with cherry juice. Also made them with tabasco for my spicy drinks like Bloody Marys. But they work better in clear drinks for the scare value.Also great for molding chocolate. Now have large and small sizes and love them.

The concept of these skull ice cubes are great but the method to which you need to fill the tray can get a little messy due to the small holes used to fill the molds and the tendency to overflow. Aside from that works as advertised and is a neat thing to toss in drinks for presentation.
