Great bike light for extra safety

I've been a keen road cyclist for over 15 years and have never had a problem with drivers. I've always been very careful and I feel like I have a good sense of what a driver could do. I had a near-disastrous event last week when I decided to take a short 18-mile trip to kick off President's Day weekend. I was only 2 miles from home on a country road that ran parallel to the freeway and there were hardly any cars on the road. It was already getting dark, but the sun was still high enough for visibility to be good. Maybe I wasn't looking up or down the street when out of nowhere this huge semi truck turned right in front of me and became a truck yard. By my estimation, I was only 20 feet away when the truck in front of me started spinning. I looked down at these huge tires that were almost my size. I immediately applied full braking and steered as hard as I could to avoid hitting a truck or going under one of the tires. Luckily the bike didn't come out from under me. After this horrific event, I decided I'd better turn on the lights so the drivers can be sure they can see me. The light is really bright with multiple flashing modes to attract people's attention. It is also very well made and should withstand a hard fall as well. I also like the tail light that comes with the kit for extra safety when the cars are moving in the back. Overall I love this product and feel more confident while cycling. It's so bright I might even try driving at night.
