I don't think they really do anything.
Honestly I'm not sure if these things really make a difference. I have a rear window and experience significant glare while working on both monitors. I don't think these things reduce glare at all. I will give them a few days to see if they reduce eye strain (no visual difference though) before sending them back. I think I'll update in a few days but so far very disappointed.
