I don't know how many different pencil cases I looked at before finally deciding on this one to hold Prismacolor and Fabre-Castellated Polychromos colored pencils. First, I liked the idea that there are 4 separate zipper sections instead of multiple pages of pencils stacked together. I can open as many partitions as I need without breaking everything. The zippers work exactly as advertised. Second, unlike most other cases on the market, the outside is made of water-resistant synthetic leather, which also doesn't collect pet hair and is easy to clean. Finally, each two-sided zipper section is made of a strong material that is both durable and protective. I was able to fit about 43 pencils on each side. The first and last elastic slots hold 2 pins; The 13 internal slots hold 3. Loading the case was monotonous - I have LOTS of pencils - but I'm pretty sure I'll be using them more than if they were in the flimsy, crumbling manufacturer's containers! I am very happy with my choice! However, there is room for improvement. A large zippered pocket on the outside is useful for storing erasers, sharpeners and other accessories. Two bags are even better! It would also be nice to be able to attach a shoulder strap to make carrying the case easier. However, this case currently has my recommendation!
