I urge everyone not to purchase this product unless they can replace the clip which is designed to attach the restraint to the seat belt. This clip is very flimsy and my dog just jumped in the front seat like he had never been shaved. It's just a super thin 1/4" wide piece of spring metal meant to protect my dog. It's scary that anyone - anyone - would think this clamp was a good choice. In the event of an accident, he would immediately panic in traffic stand, but the cable itself is so superb, so well made, that it's worth buying this unit and replacing the seat belt clip. I used a steel locking carabiner, also called a chain quick connector, to attach the nylon portion of the strap just behind the receiver and to reach through the loop of this harness.Tighten the nut and your dog is in maximum security.He cannot bite through this to climb forward and he cannot step on the seat belt release, which makes him different from the standard pet harnesses freed.
