The bag itself is well made and should last a long time. Would be a good first aid bag for a youth sports team for example. The reason for the four stars is that the hole in the main compartment is only covered by the top lid, which closes it and then looks quite subtle on the sides. Dirt/dust can easily get inside and there may be situations where the bag has been thrown or tipped over and items COULD fall out. A top with a zipper would be preferable here. Real first responders should look elsewhere. None of that happened to me, but I want to highlight it as an opportunity in my eyes. In addition, the bag has more than enough space to carry a first aid kit or a trauma bag with larger items. If you're going to stick it in your trunk and then take it to a youth sporting event (soccer, football, baseball, etc.) then this bag will likely suit you at a great price. There is plenty of room to fill out and create a first aid kit that suits your needs. Instead of a self-contained kit that has a few things you need and a lot of things you don't need. My son used it to fill it with $120 worth of first aid supplies to meet his first aid merit badge requirements and we still use it to this day.
