I got fed up with maintaining my DS4 over and over again because an R2 broke (thanks to Sony for the most despicable design flaw) then got it I decided to do my best. The trigger is metal just to see what happens. Well, R2 isn't damaged anymore, but now the spring pulling it forward breaks, so the breaking point just moved from the trigger to the spring. However, the triggers are well made, durable and fit perfectly. Just be aware that if you get it for the same reason I did, you will suffer from broken springs.
