They are big enough for my pan, I line a stainless steel metal kitchen pan as the plastic smells. I refuse to let my tiny litter box smell like litter so I regularly remove the litter which makes my life a lot easier. I try to be as green as possible, but in my life now, things that make my life a little bit more comfortable help me more than I can say. I clip a cat's claws and it scratches, but that's crazy, it's pretty soft. I don't have tears that durable yet, but I think the litter size, type and individual cat will depend. I love them, will definitely keep buying them.
