This machine is terrible. Bought as an entry level machine for my granddaughter. Especially . The instructions do not help because the drawings are small and blurry. You need a magnifying glass to read. and even then they don't help. My granddaughter's father my husband and i are engineer, seamstress, couldn't get this thing to work properly. I encourage everyone to understand how the spool mechanism works. The thread that comes with the kit looks more like thread than thread, and the needle is small, making it almost impossible to thread. I could go on, but you get the idea. Unfortunately her birthday was after the return date, some can't get her back. I'm stuck with this.
