I used to use a Hosa CSS-201 patch cord (similar to this product) running between two balanced output converters on my Studio Mackie monitors. Although this cable was in the same position and didn't move for 4 years, for some reason out of the blue the connector for the right channel disappeared. I found on the packaging of this cable that all Hosa cables have a limited lifespan. a guarantee I didn't know about before. Anyway, I wouldn't bother with CSS-201 since it's a cheap product that sells for only ten dollars. I use all types of Hosa cables extensively in my home studio and have never had a single problem with any of these before this happened. However, I'm actually glad it happened in this case as this one is so much better than the old one in every way. It's thicker, has better protection, and is well reinforced where it branches into the L/R ports. However, what really makes it an excellent patch cord is the use of REAN connectors. They are very powerful, durable, fit well and don't make the slightest line noise. In addition, the asking price is extremely reasonable given its build and performance. My DAW is working again, the monitors sound great and I'm very happy with my purchase. This product deserves and receives my highest recommendation!
