I like my quick-change tripod
Yes, everything is fine. I love my quick release tripod, but there's something these plates do after a while (and I have several) that really annoys me. Instead of using glue to stick the cork to the metal, they used cheap double-sided tape that dries fairly quickly, meaning one day the cork will just fall off. Then you have to glue it. When new, this is not possible as removing the cork will destroy them. You have to wait for the tape to dry. So yes, just OK.
