Review on KOHLER GENUINE 1069722 Toilet Flush by Greg Baker

If you have a Kohler Cimarron 1.6 gallon flush toilet, this is NOT the correct replacement canister valve. This delivers a maximum of 1.28 gallons per flush. I made the mistake of looking up the canister valve part number using the chart and the part numbers on the underside of the toilet lid. Big mistake! There they print the standard part number. Although it fit, it only gave me 1.28 gallons per flush instead of the 1.6 gallons per flush we were used to. Big difference in flushing performance! I called Kohler to get the correct part number, which for me was #1189001. This exchange worked great and we have a stronger flushing performance again. I accidentally bought it and now I can't pay for it. I would suggest calling Kohler before ordering your part (and making sure they know what your flush volume should be) to get the correct part. It only takes 5 minutes to call them and it will save you a lot of hassle later. Very easy to replace - no plumber required! There are many videos on YouTube with instructions on how to replace if you don't know how. Only takes about 10 minutes. Much luck!
