Review on 🚲 Optimized for SEO: Osprey Raven 14 Women's Hydration Backpack for Biking by Ryan Brunson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The absolute best Hydration MTB backpack!

I ordered my first Osprey Hydration Pack in December 2017. Since then I've experienced it myself. For example, at the base of a rock garden (which I've ridden at least 700 timesβ€”no exaggeration) I was OTBing at 22 mph because a tiny vine I couldn't see got stuck and twisted into branches. Either way, it was a bad accident. I was knocked out and broken - not dented, but the helmet broke completely in six places. I was sooo lucky because I only had a concussion and a few minor scratches. Of course I had to buy a new helmet but my Osprey had absolutely no damage other than mud and leaves in my back pocket. Also, I really think my Osprey saved my back from serious injury because I was lying on my back next to a log I landed on the way down. Again, I believe the quality of the materials the Osprey uses has made it not only a comfortable piece of gear but also a piece of protective gear and I never thought I would consider a hydrator as a piece of protective gear would think, but now yes. MUSIC I'm sure some people are now wondering what happened to the bladder during the crash. I hate to say it, but I don't use an Osprey bladder. I use a Camelbak Mil Spec Antidote Accessory 100oz/3.0L Long Reservoir. I bought the Osprey for my backpack, not my hydration bladder. The Osprey Bladder will not fit as it does not have a valve to disconnect the tubing. In other words, when you remove the tube, fluid begins to flow out of your bladder. I hate having to fiddle with the tubing to clean my bladder. To answer the question about the bladder and is it broken? No, surprisingly, Camelbak's bubble didn't burst. And the accident happened within the first four miles of my trip, so it was full. It's not that I hate the Osprey bladder, but Camelbak is more comfortable. A NOTICE. Each new hydration bladder must be cleaned before use, otherwise you can taste like plastic. I personally wash new cameras with liquid dish soap and hot water (not too hot), shake out, rinse and repeat several times. I sometimes use white vinegar because it's acidic, making it a powerful cleaner, but I always use liquid dish soap afterward. I do this mainly because I use moisturizing powder in my bladder. I want to make sure my bladder is completely free of gross debris. FITThis fit from Ospey is amazing! The stabilizing chest strap is adjustable. You can adjust the chest strap (up or down) to your body geometry and adjust its tension. There is no more than one size for everyone. The waste stabilization belt is adjustable in tension. If you've never had a pack with these straps on your first ride, you'll understand why they're so important, especially if you're a mountain biker. CUSTOMER SERVICE I had a small problem when one of the plastic buckles broke. I called Osprey to see if I could order it and they said no problem and sent it for free. Finally, here's a link to my original Revain review for my Osprey fist. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2F2ZLXELZQHY3/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B014EBIXWCCONCLUSION This is the best mountain bike hydration pack I have ever owned and Osprey has excellent customer service. I definitely recommend this product. ***** Please let me know if this review was helpful by clicking the helpful button below. ***** THANKS!
