I replaced 4 ceiling fans, 5 different lights and yet the most difficult part was the installation. Acorn nuts are a terrible fit unless the mounting bolts are the correct height. Luckily we had screw nuts, not acorn nuts, which are completely pointless. You can't see union nuts, so they don't have to look "pretty". Hex nuts are MUCH easier to install, but there were still problems getting the mounting screws perfect so they were flush. just to make sure it's never quite flush. I ended up plastering the canopy around the canopy to hide the fact that it would never wash off. Can't tell for sure as I used black caulk to fill the holes but it was still a nightmare to work with. The screen of the cage was very poorly assembled. It's like hot glue or sealant holding pieces of frosted glass together. And from there there is a HUGE gap between the frosted glass and the part where the nipple goes through and the hex nut/eyelet. In between you can see the nipple. It's not SUPER obvious, but the product photos don't show it. It's like the frosted glass sits too high and doesn't rest on the + shaped part that the nipple goes through. They look good and for the price it's not my worst purchase but for the headache I honestly wish I'd paid more for a better/easier to install product.
