Easy to assemble and install, this cat house was surprisingly well built for the money. Definitely excellent value for money compared to what you can get at a large pet store. As the wood is unfinished you can also finish it to match the decor (if desired) or any additional shelves/steps that will be added. Pros: Although it comes in a small box, it can be transformed into a cleverly designed kitty. even. The materials are neat and the included hardware was adequate for installation. I love that you can take the apartment off the wall (with hand tightened screws) for cleaning etc. It's OK: The apartment itself has a slight "bounce" when the cat comes in/out. this is less of a disadvantage than a function of the attachment mechanism. It doesn't seem to affect functionality in any way. As other reviewers have pointed out, the apartment itself is also quite small. It's perfect for our small cat but may not be suitable for larger cats. Time only with anchors. We also painted and sealed the wood before using it (for this and another similar Big Nose wood we bought) to help the shelves match our living room decor better, and included a small towel in the apartment for convenience.
