These slim hangers are my favorites and I've been using them for over a year now. But I've always used velvet free ones. This is my first time using velvet hangers and I don't like them at all. I think it's harder to put on and take off clothes on the hanger. And I've never had a problem with my clothes falling off the hanger, so I don't need an extra handle. For me it's a hassle. I'm not shooting stars for velvet because some people like it and it works as expected. But they're not for me, and unless you have a problem with clothes suddenly falling off your hangers, I would advise you to avoid coated hangers like this. But I would advise you to use thin hangers of the same shape. The shape of these hangers allows you to hang more clothes in the same place than traditional thick hangers. And they hold the shape of your clothes better than very fine wire hangers. I really like the design, but I will resort to non-velvet hangers.
