I have sensitive teeth because I have been grinding my teeth at night my whole life. I have tried several other brands and different products including but not limited to other Sensodyne products but this is the ONLY toothpaste that has actually restored the enamel on my teeth! I can finally eat normally again! I will add that during my "time of the month" my teeth become extremely sensitive, especially in the places where I grind them but other places too. So I put a small amount of this toothpaste on those sensitive areas and let it sit for a while before brushing all my teeth. It really made a big difference in removing sensitivity and restoring my enamel.
