I just got a Samsung S8+, my first USB-C experience. I bought a set of 4 basic adapters and chose this brand/model over others, mainly because it specifically says it supports USB-OTG. I've tested it and only 3 out of 4 that I have actually do it. The madman doesn't seem to be powering the flash drive I'm trying to connect. I think I can live with that as the other 3 work fine and I don't use OTG that much. But don't forget to check all yours to see if they will expire. I would also like to point out that despite several complaints about using these adapters with my particular model of phone, I have yet to encounter any issues. I tested several chargers including the charger that came with the phone. Please note that there are HUGE differences in quality and charging capacity between different cables. If you use some cables with this phone and adapter, you will see a slow charging warning. But that's to be expected I think. All in all, this seems like a much better alternative to replacing all of my otherwise good cables. Of course, as I've only tried them recently, my rating may change if durability or other issues arise.
