Overall I like the cable because it runs at 1GB. The ribbon cable is easy to install. The existing hole in the wooden floor for the round cable had to be widened to accommodate the RJ45 connector. I was concerned the cable was kinked in the middle because it was tightly coiled; Bends in Ethernet cables are not recommended as they may affect signal quality/strength. However, I did get a decent throughput of around 1GB when running Windows 10 in Safe Mode (Asus A88X-PRO mobo with AMD A10-7850K); In my typical case, I got about 500 Mbps down and > 940 Mbps on Longmont (CO) Power & Communications fiber. I disregarded the fiber company's recommendation to use an Intel i5 or i7 system; Their initial laptop tests were slightly better. Real world testing for web was lower, but I expected that. I tested in normal Windows mode via an ASUS TM-AC1900 Ethernet port (TMobile brand WiFi CellSpot router), this 75ft cable and a D-Link 1.Gb switch. I first tested directly over a 75 foot cable with no significant difference. I also disabled Norton protection during testing to avoid interference.
